A standard DH123 decoder SHOULD work. However, do you know that the Tyco PT motor electrics are grounded through the chassis, and you'll have to install insulated 2-56 screws, replacing the metal ones which hold the brush plate on? Someone on Tyco Forums has done it, I intend to put a Decoder into a Tyco GG1 engine. Once you have the insulated screws installed, you can run the wires to the motor and pick-up points separately. But otherwise it is doable.
