Adding a Piezo Buzzer to your ProCab.

We've successfully used a Radio Shack #273-074A Piezo Buzzer in our ProCabs (version 1.2 and up). This buzzer will beep as the speed knob goes through zero when the cab is in Yard Mode. You can set the length of the beep from 0 (no beep) to 99 (annoying).

Installation:

  1. Solder a jumper wire from hole at Point A to the circuit board pad at Point B
  2. Solder the buzzer into the indicated holes on the PC board

To set the cab to Yard Mode:

  1. Turn on the command station
  2. Unplug your cab from the command station
  3. While holding down the SELECT LOCO button on the cab plug in the cab
  4. The cab will now enter its internal setup program
  5. Press ENTER to accept the current cab address (unless you want to change it)
  6. Press 1 at the "1=YARD1 2=NORMAL" prompt.
  7. Press ENTER to accept the existing Ballisting Tracking Rate

Press ENTER to accept the current Speaker On Time (you can change it here too)
