Scale Magic Sounds By Fantasonics, pricing TBD

Way Side Station
Set in a quiet forest, this sleepy little station is dripping with hand made scratch built charm and has a telegraph, a pot belly stove (with fire), and a station clerk who is often audibly asleep at the wheel. This soundtrack is subtle and may go unnoticed at moments, but there are always super details, and at moments, it will attract attention to itself. The snoring is a great gag, day or night. Also a natural for the garden, our Scale Magic™ imaging really works and sounds terrific outdoors! CD includes day & nighttime soundtracks.

Small Time Mine
A two, or maybe three man operation, this scene is set in a rocky ambiance with a few trees nearby. Someone is always 'busy' doing something in the bunk cabin (playing banjo, pool jaw harp, or snoring), while someone else tirelessly toils away in the mine. This is a quiet setting with plenty of critters, until punctuated by random blasting! No critter was harmed in the making of this (or any other) Scale Magic™ CD soundtrack. Four different random explosions. CD includes both day & nighttime scenes, this one is humorous... and a lot of fun!

The Farm/Ranch
A laid back ambiance in an open, rural environment. Farm and rural critters are all there creating a sleepy drone within a breezy backdrop. A scratch built horse, a cow, a few chickens, dogs, roosters, crows and a myriad of rural birds join this quiet chorus. Distant chopping of wood and the occasional dinner bell (triangle) brake the calm in this wide-open scale image. At night, and if you listen closely, you might hear snoring coming from the old ranch house. With scratch built herds of horses and cattle in the distance, this is a working ranch... its just not working too hard these days. CD contains both day and night soundtracks.

Wild West Saloon
This is the Wild West for sure. Revelry is an understatement in this establishment where piano music is 'all request' (requests are made with six-shooters!). Seems dangerous, but sounds like they are having an awful lot of fun inside. Almost two dozen separate piano performances are never finished in this one! Distant fireworks or the occasional nearby firecracker are less than welcomed by locals (horses and donkeys). The occasional Wild West wind and a full compliment of critters and birds fill out this hilarious scene. Great for gardens, our Scale Magic™ imaging really works and sounds terrific outdoors! CD includes day & night soundtracks.

Waterfalls & Rivers
One CD works for waterfalls, or rivers. Place speakers at the top and bottom of falls (and turn it up), or along swift waterways (and turn it down), the illusion of animation and flow is stunning. We've designed a number of scale waterfalls and rivers over the years, each has a slightly different flow and ambiance, but they flow together seamlessly in this CD. Its our greatest hits album. Play it quietly and encourage visitors to interact with the scene, this illusion works best 'close-up'. The background around these water features is an open forested valley, with wind and plenty of critters drawn to the water's edge... both day and night. This soundtrack is timeless.

Streams & Creeks
This soundtrack is timeless, and subtle. Turn it down for a creek or babbling brook, turn it up (just a bit!) for a stream or river. The feeling of real water flowing is almost startling, but quiet and slow. It is set in an open ambiance with forest nearby, and even has wind in the sky above you. Use it for a creek, stream or river in any meadow or valley and it will attract all kinds of critters and birds, we promise. The CD includes both day and night soundtracks, and of course, our Scale Magic™ imaging.

Day & Night (Distribute this one around your layout!)
This soundtrack can be ordered in either 'mountain' or 'prairie/desert' versions; both versions have all the critters necessary to set the scene for either day or nighttime operations. The mountain version could be a forest or tree filled landscape almost anywhere. The prairie version is more open, and the wind is a major player. Quiet and subtle most of the time, both versions have their lively moments. All of our favorite birds show up at one time or another in these relaxing but fanciful scenes. Day/Night soundtracks can be used in conjunction with most of our other scenes, and can be distributed throughout a layout. Two or three soundtracks will often be all the scale sound necessary to 'complete' a layout!

Saw Mill (pre 1920's, Steam Power)
This soundtrack could serenade most any size sawmill, as long as it has a steam power plant. All the usual suspect machinery has been scratch built and is in operation here. Work is done in shifts, punctuated by whistles. Between shifts you can absorb the quiet ambiance of the mill pond and surrounding forest, or listen to the wind in the trees. There are several shifts of various lengths, but each portrays a prototypical shift sequence. Listen closely and you will hear the crew, the boiler firing, the pulleys and belts come up to speed, the green chain, the debarker and saws... then the whistle signals and everything slowly grinds down to a complete stop... its been scratch built to. This CD includes both day and night scenes, all scratch built with our proprietary Scale Magic™ imaging.

Stamp Mills (steam power) 5, 10 & 20 Stamp Batteries
These 3 scenes were meticulously scratch built stamp by stamp. The stamps really pound and echo as the ore is crushed mercilessly until the end of the shift when the scene settles down to a peaceful and serene setting. But don't worry, the mill will start another shift all too soon. The attentive listener will hear the crew, the boiler, the pulleys and belts come up to speed, then the stamps engage and grind away, seemingly endlessly, amidst the appropriate clatter and clanking of machinery. When the shift whistle blows everything slowly grinds down to a complete stop... except the critters. Between shifts you may hear some light maintenance work being done in the mill. CD includes day and night scenes, all scratch built with our spellbinding Scale Magic™ imaging. (Note: the 20 stamp version will work just ducky for a 30 stamp operation).

Logging Camp (pre 1920's)
This CD soundtrack will create the ambiance for most any early logging camp scene, especially those with a bunk car or two. In the background, distant loggers are busy felling trees with axes and two-man-saws, and a donkey boiler and engine are working the winches. In the foreground, the camp crew is often 'quietly' at work on machinery and such. The entire scene is set in a Scale Magic™ mountain forest ambiance. Includes both day and nighttime scratch built tracks, but you may hear a lumberjack snoring away ("sawing logs")... most anytime.

Logging Operations (pre 1920's)
This CD soundtrack will create the ambiance for most any early logging scene you have modeled. The logging is the foreground of this scene. The loggers are busy felling trees with axes and two-man-saws, then a vertical boiler & donkey engine are fired up to work the winches. The entire scene is set in a Scale Magic™ mountain forest ambiance. Includes both day and nighttime scratch built tracks... lumberjacks "saw logs" at night, too!

Big City (modern)
Set in the diesel era, this scene has all the whistles and bells, quite literally. The 'traffic' is the main theme in the foreground of this scene. Every kind of activity you might imagine is here... this is a busy city. Police, fire and emergency crews wind their way through city crews working in the streets. There are people, and more people, and music and activity everywhere as the day unfolds. Nighttime is really no different in this city that never sleeps. This is a lush, vivid, and busy image... even during the quietest passages.

Big City (WWII)
This scene has all the whistles and bells scratch built into it, quite literally. The traffic never stops. In the streets you'll find every kind of traffic imaginable: cars, trucks, taxis, busses, cops & fire trucks. Listen closely and you can hear pedestrians, peddlers, street vendors, and people everywhere (even a paperboy)! The inhabitants are quietly serenaded by era appropriate music from theaters and saloons wafting through the streets and buildings. There is plenty of activity in this one. Its a lush, vivid, and busy image, even during the most quiet passages. Works for both day and nighttime scenes. And as with all our soundtracks, its all created with out proprietary Scale Magic™ imaging to quietly sound huge... in a small space!

Big City (turn-of-the-century)
This scene has all the whistles and bells scratch built into it, quite literally. In the streets you'll find horses and wagons, Model T & Model A cars and trucks and taxis, streetcars, cable cars, peddlers, street vendors, and people everywhere... this is turn-of-the-century gridlock! The inhabitants are quietly serenaded by era appropriate music wafting through the streets and buildings. In the background you will hear horns, bells and even the occasional old time crank fire siren. There is plenty of activity in this one. Its a lush, vivid, and busy image, even during the most quiet passages. And as with all our soundtracks, its all created with out proprietary Scale Magic™ imaging to quietly sound huge... in a small space!

Big Port Harbor (modern)
This soundtrack is quiet for the most part, but it always sounds big. There's plenty of 'water traffic' interrupting the calm splashing of waves against the squeaking and creaking wharves, and the distant buoy bells and fog horns. At one time or another you'll hear almost every type of ship horn and whistle passing by 'somewhere within earshot'. Everything is scratch built into this one, even the wind. Of course, there are a full compliment of seagulls and birds, and other critters. If you model a riverfront or seaport this soundtrack will create a vivid waterfront, with a huge modern industrial and city background... at tiny scale volumes!

Big Port Harbor (WWII)
This soundtrack is quiet for the most part, but it always sounds big. There's plenty of 'water traffic' around to interrupt the calm splashing of waves against the squeaking and creaking wharves, and the distant buoys and foghorns. At one time or another you'll hear almost every type of ship horn or whistle passing by 'somewhere within earshot'. Everything is scratch built into this one, even dock workers and the wind. Of course, there are a full compliment of seagulls and birds, and other critters. If you model a riverfront or sea port this soundtrack will create a vivid waterfront, and a huge WWII industrial and city background... at tiny scale volumes!

Big Port Harbor (turn-of-the-century)
This soundtrack is a quiet ambiance for the most part, but it always sounds big. There's plenty of 'water traffic' around to interrupt the calm splashing of waves against the squeaking and creaking wharves, and the distant buoy bells and foghorns. From time to time you'll hear almost every type of turn-of-the-century ship horn or whistle passing by 'somewhere within earshot'. Everything is scratch built into this one, even the dockworkers and wind. Of course, there are a full compliment of seagulls and birds, and other critters. If you model a riverfront or sea port this soundtrack will create a vivid waterfront, and a huge turn-of-the-century industrial and city background... at tiny scale volumes!

Quaint Fishing Harbor
This is a quaint fishing village on a small harbor. A quiet ambiance most of the time, this one is scratch built to put you right to sleep (and then wake you up again!). Waves lap gently at the creaking and squeaking wharf as distant buoy bells rock to the tune of an even more distant foghorn. Listen closely and you may hear activity in this small fishing village... but not much. The water and wharf are the show here, but don't tell the seagulls that! The CD includes both day and nighttime soundtracks in our proprietary scale imaging.

Roundhouse/Switchyard (modern/diesel)
There is scratch built work going on here at all times. Sometimes lively, sometimes subtle, it seems like the job is never finished. The roundhouse is set in a quiet switch yard ambiance, with a few curious critters around to 'supervise' the work. Its a 'working' switch yard, its just not working too hard (still prototypical!). Locomotives idle, sit, signal, and then sit some more amid scattered short wheel clatter and yard chatter. Even if you can't see it, they're always doing something 'somewhere' in the facility. The overall setting is a quiet urban industrial/city ambiance of the appropriate era. CD includes day and night scenes.

Roundhouse/Switchyard (WWII/steam)
There is work going on here at all times. Sometimes lively, sometimes quiet and subtle, it seems like the job is never finished. The roundhouse itself is set in a quiet switch yard ambiance, with a few curious critters around to 'supervise' the work. Includes a 'working' switchyard, its just not working too hard (still prototypical!). Locomotives sit, signal, and then sit some more amid scattered short wheel clatter and yard chatter. Even if you can't see it, they're always doing something 'somewhere' in the facility. The overall setting is a quiet urban industrial/city ambiance of the appropriate era. CD includes both day and night scenes.

Roundhouse/Switchyard (turn-of-the-century)
There is work going on here at all times. Sometimes lively, sometimes subtle, it seems like the job is never finished... we scratch built it that way. CD includes day & night scenes... but someone may be sleeping on the job at any given time.
