Several months ago John Forsythe, a modeler and an electrical engineer, decided to go into the advanced DCC mobile decoder business. John contacted me and asked us to evaluate his first offering which has now evolved into the TH121dp. The specifications and information pertinent to DH121dp and other TCS decoders follows.

John asked us to evaluate his new decoder and test it with all the major DCC systems. The decoder looked very promising from the price and performance prospective. After testing, we dicovered some minor incompatibility issues with some DCC systems. John revised the software and we have recently completed the testing and the results are good. We have evaluated the TCS products with all the major DCC systems and all the aspects of DCC decoder operation. Based on these results we are now offering the TCS products as a welcome addition to our extensive DCC product line.

TH120dp - Decoder

The TH120DP is designed as a direct plug n play to fit many different HO scale locomotives!  There is no wire harness!  No soldering  required! Installation is very easy!  Plug decoder directly into the locomotive DCC socket! TH120DP is a full featured decoder not a stripped down decoder! It has all the following features:

• 14, 28, 128 speed step control


• Extended addressing capable of 10,000 addresses

• All  lighting effects can be directional qualified.


• Supports operations  (OPS) mode programming.  Programming on the main track.


• Supports Direct,  Paged,  Register and Bit Manipulation programming. This allows programming now matter what command system you are using including MRC command 2000

TH141 - Decoder

The TH141 is a four function advanced performance decoder! It has a standard JST type 9 pin wire harness. TH141 is a full featured decoder not a stripped down decoder! It has all the following features:

Special lighting effects include Mars, Gyra, Rule 17, Single and Double Pulse Strobe, Random Flicker, Opposite Dim, Rotary Beacon, Flashing Light, Blinking Ditch Lights, Automatic Reversing Headlights.
