Empire Builder Arrives, Nice IR.

Digitrax has initiated its 2nd generation of DCC systems with a bang. The Empire Builder is a 90% Chief at 70% price (based on MSRP of $450 & $325). At Tony's prices the difference is about $50. See comparison.

I quickly tested the DT100IR and was very impressed with the non-directional nature of the IR mode. I pointed the DT100IR in every direction and maintained control. Only physical barriers such as wall etc. interrupted IR signal. Multiple receivers would solve this problem.
