DIGITRAX:
Digitrax
finally announced the release of an advanced, simple-to-use throttle,
the DT400, with delivery expected sometime in late 2000 or early
in 2001. The DT400 has features similar to throttles marketed by
System One and NCE Corp. The DT400 will feature duplex wireless
capability, communication with soon-to-be released Digitrax transponding
components and will enable the operator to display the location
of his locomotive on the layout.
Digitrax
also announced the DN121 low cost N-scale decoder with or without
the NMRA plug and features similar to the DZ121, at a competitive
list price of $24.95.
SOUNDTRAXX:
In
another surprise announcement, Soundtraxx introduced a complete
line of low cost Soundtraxx decoders:
The
DSDB280 for the Bachman 2-8-0 is finally here after one years wait.
There
are three special plug-n-play units for first generation EMD diesels.

Atlas unit is $139.00 list price.

The Proto 2000 unit is $145.00 list price.
- The
Kato unit is $149.00 list price.
There
is also a generic wired decoder, the DSD100LC at a list price of
$99.95.
