Here is the latest info from Lenz that we have edited to reduce content.
RailCom
We are pleased to announce that the NMRA DCC WG (Working Group) has finally approved its new bi-directional DCC specifications which are based on technology donated by Lenz GmbH!!
Now comes the hard part of producing products. We hope to demonstrate products that follow these new NMRA specifications in Toronto with production following shortly thereafter.
The LZV100 already has the hardware and software for the RailCom cutout device built-in. Due to changes in the specifications made by the DCC WG, the software will likely need to be upgraded sometime this fall to fully accommodate RailCom and conform to these new RPs. This will be a no cost software upgrade but will likely require the upgrade be done at designated warranty centers.
