New High-Tech Lenz Decoders
BUY LENZ DECODERS HERE
Lenz is expanding the DCC envelope again with the debut of the LE1035 "Switcher Decoder". Here is their press release :
We are pleased to announce the production of the most sophisticated decoders we have ever produced. The LE1035W and LE1035MP shipping to dealers mid June 2003:
[List $39.95 ea, Tony's $31.95 ea, 4@ $29.95, 10@ $28.95. Note: NMRA Plug and "harness only" versions are same price.]
These decoders are designed for the discriminating modeler who wants the very best in low speed operation. It is absolutely ideal for any locomotive used in switching operations.
We had three design goals.
1) Produce the absolutely best motor control possible.
2) Eliminate the confusion of setup so that it works out of the package with minimal programming required.
3) Find a solution for ease of use in switching and automatic stopping.
The features in the LE1035 start with high frequency/ high resolution back EMF motor control for extremely silent, smooth and easy to use control.
To this we added two features designed to greatly facilitate switching operations.
The first is a low gear setting which allows the decoder to have two speed tables, one for slow speed switching, the other for main line operation. This is enabled through use of F3 (user settable from F1 to F8).
The second is a precision stop control. This allows the user to program an absolute stopping distance. This stopping distance is independent of load or speed. This allows the user to have a locomotive stop precisely on an uncoupling ramp or if a stopping module is used to stop the locomotive precisely in front of a red signal or at a station. Precision stop control is enabled in low gear operation when ever the speed step is set to zero and can be disabled using F4 (user settable from F1 to F8).
Other features
- 4 functions
- Directional or independent headlights that can be dimmed.
- Starting speed and max speed adjustment.
- Support for advanced consisting
- All forms of programming supported.
The LE1035 will shortly be submitted to the NMRA for formal C&I testing.
USP to be released in late August.
Model railroad control is about to experience a revolution in reliability of operation!!!
DCC with USP is almost here !!!
Last week we demonstrated our first USP decoder at the NER regional convention. This mystifying decoder equipped locomotive was able to go over dirty track and also track covered with plastic tape without hesitation. And all the time the DCC commands were received and the locomotive was under total control, demonstrated by controlling lights, speed while the locomotive was right over the plastic tape!
USP decoders utilize technology protected by us and European patents and will initially be available exclusively through Digital plus by Lenz dealers. USP decoders will be totally compatible with all NMRA DCC systems in the market.
The first decoder in this series will be a high amperage decoder intended for S, O and Large Scale. More information will be released in Toronto.
