Broadway PRR K4 Shipping October 4?

BLI recently announced more new releases, the PRR K4 4-6-2 Steam Passenger loco and the Alco RS15 Diesel.

The announcement got my attention because the release date seemed incorrect ... announced Aug 04 and shipping Oct 04? Three months to release these and a year or more for all the other releases?

I checked with BLI and the posted released date is in fact CORRECT ... so I was curious and asked why? Apparently the factory had progressed on the design package more expeditiously than planned and prototypes were delivered ahead of schedule. Good news for PRR and Alco fans!
