Walthers Proto 2000 0-6-0 with QSI Sound

The new run of 0-6-0 switchers from Life-Like has arrived and it was immediately evident that Walthers is maintaining the superb "Heritage Series" quality. The detailing is enough to make just about any rivet counter happy, and the operation is smooth as silk.

The factory installed QSI sound is nice and clear (though set a bit loud right out of the box) with the chuff rate set to a perfect four per revolution.

The loco comes with several extra detail parts including a cab curtain (for you winter modelers) and window shades.

One thing that you should consider about this loco is that it is very light so the included wheel set with a traction tire will be needed in order to make it pull longer strings of cars.

On the whole, whether you're a full time yard master at your local club or you were looking for another small switcher, I think you'll be happy with this little guy.
