New E7 N Scale Offering From Precision Craft Models
Buy PCM Locos Here
Precision Craft Models, a companion company to Broadway Ltd Imports, came to
being with the original announcement
of the N scale E7's with DCC sound. This of course was great news for the N
scale community
wanting sound but limited because of space.
Almost 2 years have passed since the original announcement and N scalers now
have a viable sound option.

We've just tested the new Precision Craft Models' E7 and straight out of the
box it proves to be just as fine a locomotive as we've come to expect from
PCM. The detailing is as nice as anything you'll find in N scale right down
to operating diaphragms and beautifully cut screens and vents. The onboard
LokSound decoder is responsive and sounds realistic, with some impressive
notching and the loudest volume I've ever heard out of an N scale
locomotive. Actually, the volume is too loud with and some distortion, we
lowered the volume with much better results.

The little guy pulls well too
thanks to the dual flywheel motor and one axle with traction tires. The
headlights are bright and easily visible and the mars light comes
pre-programmed with a well-timed flash (which goes to dim when in reverse).
With available B units in many different road names I think that this loco
would be a great addition to anybody's mainline hauling fleet.
NOTE: It has come to our attention that some of these locomotives have experienced an intermittent running problem. Should this happen with your loco, check the gauging of the wheels and look for loose connection from the 4 truck wires that connect to the decoder. |
