We have always tried to provide our domestic and foreign customers a comprehensive line of DCC choices. Back in the early 90s we were offering Zimo products but due to distribution issues we had to drop the line. Though expensive, the products were top notch and loaded with innovative features. Things have changed with distribution so we are now again happy to offer the most popular Zimo products.

Here is a brief list of some of the Zimo decoder features:

All ZIMO decoders with all NMRA "high end" features and much more!
Back EMF, adjustable by special CVs, noiseless high frequency motor control (20 / 40 kHz), suitable for Faulhaber, Maxxon; special acceleration procedures, American lighting effects, decoupler control, function output soft start; hardware prepared for RailCom ("bidirectional communication"), "SUSI" - interface; much more.

ZIMO decoders can be used with any DCC system - the user always gets the benefit of excellent driving characteristics and the big variety of function effects.

All current ZIMO loco and accessory decoders can be upgraded (= loaded with a new software) by the end user without opening the loco. For this ZIMO offers the Decoder Update device MXDECUP (or MXDECUPU with an USB-serial converter included).
