Well I'm sure that you have heard the rumors but it is now official, Athearn Genesis locomotives with factory sound will come with SoundTraxx Tsunami decoders.

Genesis

Athearn Genesis is continuing to add to the road names for their new FP7. The latest to be announced is Western Pacific. The WP FP7 will be available as a single A unit or as an FP7A and an F7B set. These are scheduled for December 2009 and will be available either with or without sound and DCC.

Athearn Genesis is releasing a factory weathered version of the UP Big Boy. These will be available with or without sound & DCC and are scheduled for February 2010.

RTR

Athearn announced new road names and numbers for the RTR SD40 including an MP20C-3 (rebuilt SD40) in Pacific Harbor Line. Other road names include MKT, CN, N&W (with High Short Hood), & O&W. These loco are scheduled for November 2009.

Pre-Orders for all of these should be placed by May 15, 2009.
